Species of Clowns
From November 13 to 29, 2026, Species of clowns, the serious festival of silly arts, celebrates clown arts in all their diversity.
The CAP and the Cie Ah Mon Amour! are part of the adventure and invite you to the CAP, in Anderlecht, for four performances of The Story of Maoro, but also an exhibition and a workshop.

Cie Ah Mon Amour!
What Maoro experienced, we would prefer it hadn't happened. We would prefer not to have to talk about it. But Maoro asked Bobette to tell. To tell so that it doesn't happen to other children. Or that it doesn't happen again. So Bobette said yes. And Maxime followed, as always. But be careful. This is not a sad show. It is a captivating show, often funny, touching, even moving, and above all packed with tips to be stronger. And suddenly, silence becomes light. And the children… become powerful. The Story of Maoro is a theatrical creation intended for children aged 6 to 12. It addresses, with sensitivity and pedagogy, the issue of sexual violence against children. This show stands out for its ambition: to raise awareness, alert, and thus contribute to protecting children from sexual violence.
Exhibition 'A Look at Empathiclown'
Free
Patrick Bouré (photographer), Denis Bernard (head of Empathiclown)
A look at Empathiclown through the photos of Patrick Bouré. Since 2010, Empathiclown has been offering encounters with vulnerable people, in living or care spaces. The clown moves forward with simplicity, curiosity, and wonder. He lives in the present moment and meets others with confidence and delicacy. Patrick Bouré is a curious and passionate humanist, committed to encounters, the discovery of heritage, nature, and culture. A discreet and observant photographer, he authentically captures emotions and spontaneous moments, far from staged settings. Through his images, he sensitively and kindly testifies to moments of sharing, conviviality, and our humanity.

What if the clown taught us to listen better? To be fully present to the other? To welcome what is happening, here and now? The CAP and La Boutique Culturelle invite you to a playful and sensory workshop around the clown and empathy in care and reception settings. Through games, listening exercises, movement, and improvisation, we will explore the state of the clown: this particular availability that allows us to meet the other with curiosity, attention, humor, and sensitivity. A workshop to play, listen, be surprised... and experience the relationship with the other differently. The workshop is open to everyone aged 16 and over and is led by Denis Bernard from the ASBL Empathiclown. The morning may continue with a time for exchange and discussion to share experiences and questions raised by the workshop.
